Director New Business Development

 

AAI is a recognized leader in the development of unique algorithms to exploit remote sensor image data and GIS products. We are seeking a seasoned new business development/sale professional to direct national sales in our bathymetry and image calibration lines of business. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years experience in the remote sensing, image processing, GIS or related fields and a proven track record in new business development, initiating and closing complex sales and long term relationship building

  Education: BS and/or MBA
   
  Candidate Requirements:
  Minimum 10 years experience in remote sensing and GIS applications, 5 years new business development
  Proven history of direct sales and complex sales management.
  Effective in applying methods of strategic planning and execution.
  Develop marketing tools for Company products to include literature, web sites, presentations, and trade show displays.
  Demonstrated skill in market research that include demographics and financial modeling.
  Knowledgeable of promotion planning and execution methods
  Prior exposure to international marketing and selling.
  Expert proposal writing, product demonstrations, presentation development and delivery.
  Valuable contributor to AAIs new product definition process
  Participate in industry associations and work groups, representing the Companys interests.
  Travel up to 30%

Software Engineer

 

AAI is looking for a mid-level software engineer to develop scientific applications in the field of remote sensing. BA/BS/MA/MS in computer science, engineering and/or scientific related disciplines. Experience with C/C++, GUI, interfacing with 3rd party software, Windows and UNIX environments of scientific applications. 3+ years of experience developing software. US citizenship required.

   
  Candidate Requirements:
  Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, in order to make recommendations, write product development specifications and requirements.
  Some project management skills, including ability to execute assignments within established timeframes and quality standards while responding to other immediate needs.
  Strong organization and prioritization skills.
  Ability to diagnose problems, to conceptualize and be creative.
  Solid interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with development and user groups.

Remote Sensing/Image Processing Specialist

 

We are looking for talented junior and senior individuals with progressive experience in the remote sensing/GIS industry to provide remote sensing and image processing expertise on creating multi- and hyperspectral imagery products.

  U.S. citizenship is required
  Security clearance is desired
 
   
  Required Minimum Skills and Qualifications:
  Knowledge of remote sensing principles/phenomenology
  Knowledge of image processing/classification/analysis techniques such as supervised classification, ISODATA, subpixel classifiers, accuracy assessment, etc.
  Image analysis software experience with ERDAS IMAGINE
  Experience with Landsat, SPOT, IKONOS, and Quickbird data, and other satellite and aerial sources
  Experience with remote sensing applications for Landuse/Landcover, water quality, change detection, feature extraction, etc.
  Excellent technical writing and oral skills
  Ability to work alone and as part of a team
  Knowledge of PC and UNIX-based systems
   
  Desired Skills and Qualifications:
  Application of remote sensing to specific disciplines such as target detection, target recognition, military/intelligence, and change detection
  Familiarity with GIS applications and software packages (e.g., ESRI products)
  Image analysis software experience with ENVI or other hyperspectral exploitation tools
  Degree in Environmental Sciences, Geography, Forestry, Remote Sensing, or other related discipline
  Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  Background in mathematics and statistics

Remote Sensing/Image Processing Specialist

 

Applied Analysis Inc. (AAI) is seeking experienced professionals with advanced image processing and analysis skills to work alongside our government customers. We are looking for talented individuals to provide technical remote sensing and image processing expertise in cutting edge applications. Image processing tools for use with government and commercial sensors will include ERDAS IMAGINE, ENVI, ArcGIS and RemoteView in a classified processing environment. This job will entail employing remote sensing techniques and technology and developing innovative solutions to support our customers in their daily spectral data exploitation and develop spectrally derived information products. We are looking for candidates to grow AAI's presence with these customers. Work hours will be in accordance with the government customer's schedule and regulations. Some travel may be required.

  Locations: Washington D.C. area and Dayton, Ohio
   
  Required Minimum Skills and Qualifications:
  Knowledge of spectral remote sensing principles/phenomenology
  Knowledge of image processing/classification/analysis techniques such as supervised classification, ISODATA, subpixel classifiers, accuracy assessment, and image calibration
  Image analysis software experience with ERDAS IMAGINE, ENVI, and RemoteView
  Experience with government and commercial hyperspectral and multispectral sensors such as AVIRIS, HYPERION, Landsat, SPOT, IKONOS, QuickBird, and OrbView
  Experience with remote sensing applications, feature extraction, and image product generation
  Excellent technical writing and oral skills
  Ability to work alone and as part of a team
  Knowledge of PC systems
   
  Desired Skills and Qualifications:
  Knowledge of SAR and IR remote sensing principles/phenomenology
  Application of remote sensing to specific disciplines such as target detection, target recognition, military/intelligence, and change detection
  Familiarity with government image databases, tasking, and collection
  Familiarity with ArcGIS and Feature Analyst software
  Degree in Remote Sensing or related discipline
  Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
